Haircare meets rebellion in a glide from mirrors to skateparks.

The Challenge

How do you make hair oil cool for a generation raised on rebellion, reels, and radical self-expression?

Parachute Advansed Jasmine Hair Oil had to break out of its traditional mold and find relevance in the Gen Z lifestyle—where self-care meets street style. The goal: show that haircare isn’t a pause—it’s the start of something bold.

The Treatment

Taking cues from the visual energy of skate culture, we built a narrative around Urmila, a skater and dreamer.

The film begins in her bedroom, where a mirror transition becomes a portal to self-expression. Oiling her hair becomes the catalyst that propels her from quiet prep to skatepark stardom.

This wasn’t about routines—it was about rebellion, motion, and momentum. From Bedroom Mirrors → To Skatepark Glory.

The Craft

Narrative: A mirror becomes the metaphor for transformation—from self-care to performance.

Visuals: Fluid handheld shots indoors meet dynamic outdoor tracking, capturing the effortless flow of nourished hair in motion.

Cinematography & Edit: Long meditative takes contrast with quick, beat-synced cuts and seamless mirror transitions.

Color: Warm, comforting tones at home shift to vibrant, saturated hues outdoors.

Sound: A fusion of hip-hop beats and soulful Indian vocals mirrors Urmila’s energy as her confidence builds.

Parachute didn’t just tell a story—it sparked one.

By placing haircare at the heart of self-expression, the brand redefined oiling as a launchpad, not a limitation.

Because this shine?

It doesn’t hold you back—it moves you forward.
