The Challenge

We had to conceptualise and execute a high-octane adrenaline-fueled musical anthem for India’s most popular online game, BGMI. Featuring Benny Dayal, 1080G and 6 well-known influencers.

The Treatment

We have fused 3 elements in this film to make an amalgamation of high-energy, future-driven visuals and wacky beats in the background. The cyberpunk-based setting fused with influencers living the game through the film with a touch of BGMI props that keep coming up is the perfect formula to attract the target audience.

The Craft

The film, set in cyberpunk space, is a representation of the actual game. The influencers showcased within their player skins, are shown holographically playing the game, in different settings, while they experience various elements of the actual game from picking weapons to chicken dinners.

The cast includes one of India’s foremost composers, Benny Dayal as well as famous rapper 1080p. Adding to the attraction for the BGMI are the 6 key influencers of BGMI in India, Dynamo, Clutchgod, Mavi, Thug, Shadow, Kaashvi.

Divided in “Zones” as is in the game, each space is representative of an element that makes the treatment in synch with the vibes of the game. Each zone is a celebration of the BGMI universe and compliments the emotional visualisation that players have when they think of BGMI as a game. The first zone showcases Benny and the pods, the second has the gamers and the third showcases the LED walls.

The styling is disruptive, futuristic and rebellious. Our objective is to be attractive to the young, online gamer, hitting the right notes of who they are and who they ideally want to be. The background colour codes and lighting are in synch with an underground futuristic rave party setup.

Something that is very important when it comes to a music video for an online game. The graphics used are in synch to what a player would see in the actual BGMI game. In addition to that, to give it a more futuristic blend, we have used louder green, blue and white hues and holographic sequences just add to the flavour.
