The Treatment
For this Garnier Men campaign, we worked alongside Schbang, developed a concept that blends the excitement of cricket with humorous misunderstandings on the field. By introducing unexpected objects like badminton racquets, boxing gloves, and basketballs into cricket scenarios, we created comical situations that parallel the confusion one might feel when using the wrong face cleansing product. This approach allows us to seamlessly integrate the product message into entertaining scenarios that resonate with cricket fans during the IPL season.
Our treatment focuses on creating visually stunning content through dynamic camera movements, including crash zooms and speed tracking shots. We aimed to enhance the comic timing by setting these fictional situations in realistic cricket environments, making them more relatable to the audience. John Abraham, as the brand ambassador, serves as a bridge between these humorous scenarios and the product message, directly addressing the viewers to drive home the benefits of Garnier Men’s face wash.

The Craft
Our visual approach combines dynamic cinematography with authentic, source-led lighting to elevate the performances and humor. We employ crash zooms, speed tracking shots, and interactive camera movements to create an energetic visual style that matches the campaign’s tone. The set design recreates realistic cricket stadium settings, including nets, dugouts, and pitch areas, with an additional green screen setup for flexibility in shooting individual scenes and the end slate.
The cast features cricket stars Ishan Kishan, Tilak Varma, and Jasprit Bumrah, alongside brand ambassador John Abraham. Costumes strike a balance between authentic cricket gear and stylish casual wear, with makeup designed to enhance on-screen presence while maintaining a natural look. The editing style is fast-paced, using quick cuts to maintain energy and smooth transitions between the cricket scenarios and John’s product explanations.
